The Building

Built in the 1790's we are proud to be custodians of this extraordinary Grade II listed building.

Originally a manor house, this building retains its antique allure with original architectural features such as alcoves and mouldings, creating a truly inspiring and visually striking workspace.

This is a drawing by Wilfred Fairclough as part of his series commissioned during World War II by the 'Committee for the Employment of Artists in Wartime' to document the British landscape, capturing a sense of national identity. The scheme, known as ‘Recording the changing face of Britain’, was aimed to preserve the country’s heritage and boost morale. The collection, now housed at the V&A, serves as a unique record of its time.
