Requests for home visits to patients too ill to attend surgery are taken by a trained receptionist or nurse who will take advice from a doctor if necessary. You will be asked for some details of the patient's illness so that priorities for visits can be assessed.
If possible please make the request before 10am as this helps the doctors plan their visiting time effectively.

01923 262363 - telephone advice can be obtained from one of the practice nurses although the receptionist may ask her to call you back when she is free. In the same way a message can be left for your doctor if there is something you urgently need to discuss. Telephone advice can also be obtained from NHS direct 24 hours a day. For details go to our "links & Policies" page

Results of blood tests, x-rays, and other investigations are available on 01923 262363. Allow plenty of time for the results to return to the surgery. You will be given an indication of how long this is likely to be when the test is performed. Please telephone for results between 2.00pm - 6.30pm as we are less busy during these times.

Information on services not provided by the surgery is available from West Hertfordshire Primary Care Trust on 01923 281600 or www.wherts-pct.nhs.uk
