There are three ways in which you can book an appointment

1. By telephone on 01923 267755

2. In Person, at the reception desk.
 
3. Via the internet by following the Emis Access web-link below. (To use this service you must firstly register for it. Please contact the surgery and a receptionist will be happy to print off  the information you will need to access the site)

Routine Appointments

The receptionist will offer you the next available routine appointment with the doctor you have requested to see. It will be greatly appreciated if you can see the same doctor each time although we accept that sometimes this is not possible. We have a number of appointments for each clinic that can be booked in advance, usually up to 4 weeks ahead. This will enable you to schedule your routine and  follow-up appointments more easily. Otherwise a routine appointment is usually available within 48 hours.

Urgent Appointments

All the doctors reserve part of their consulting time for people who need to be seen urgently.  If you feel you need to be seen more quickly than the next routine appointment please tell the receptionist and be patient if you are asked to provide further details.

Early Morning Appointments

Many patients are unaware that doctors’ appointments are available from 8.00am.  These can be booked up to 4 weeks in advance.  
 
Longer Appointments

You will routinely be offered a 10 minute appointment.  If you feel that it may take longer to discuss your problems please book a double appointment (twenty minutes).

Missed Appointments

An average of 40 APPOINTMENTS EACH MONTH are not kept and the surgery are not informed. These appointments could have been used by others and are a frustrating waste of time and resources. PLEASE make every effort to inform the surgery in good time if you are unable, for whatever reason, to attend the appointment. If possible please telelphone in the afternoon as the phones are less busy.
